071913-sports-tmi-tweets-kevin-durant(PNS reporting from WASHINGTON, DC) With their employer, the United States government, crippled by a shutdown, bored furloughed federal workers here plan to make tomorrow “TMI Tuesday.”

The social media campaign, which carries the slogan Brace Yourself Before You Face Yourself, has Washington insiders shaking, fearing a sleazy slew of photographs from GOP fundraisers, Dick Cheney hunting trips and turgid encounters in airport restrooms.

“Let’s see them try to shut this down,” says furloughed Washington Monument Tour Guide Alejandro von Gunckel, who has been watching episodes of A&E’s Duck Dynasty while listening to Radiohead’s OK Computer album on repeat to pass the time.

“TMI Tuesday will be a lot of fun,” says von Gunckel. “Think House of Cards meets TMZ in a DMZ.”

Von Gunckel encourages everyone to take part in TMI Tuesday, “so that Amercians can get a little…closer…during this time of national uncertainty.”

An avalanche of TMI Tuesday posts is expected on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, using the hashtag #TMITuesday.
