minkdevilleSan Francisco soul rockers Mink DeVille were the house band at New York’s legendary CBGBs, the epicenter of punk, from 1975-1977. Their bassist was Ruben Sigüenza, brother of Culture Clash funnyman Herbert Sigüenza. This makes him the first Central Americans in punk rock, and one of the Great Pochos in Music. Check out Raul’s Spanish verse in this 1978 performance of The Spanish Stroll.
