POCHO’s favorite Mexico-inspired Canadian band, The Mariachi Ghost, has new album and new music video.
Cuerpo Mortal starts out in Art Laboe’s Sunday night Latin soul oldies mode but soon moves into a dark metaphor:
“Two piñata men struggle for power in a world where there are two things are certain: death and sorrow. Only the sweetness of violence can distract Santos from his own demons.”
This song is the first single off the band’s sophomore album Puro Dolor.
