Los Lonely Boys — three pochos from Texas — rock hard on this burning version of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic Born on the Bayou and make it SPANGLISH at the end.
Here’s the backstory via Rolling Stone:
In 2013, Creedence Clearwater Revival leader John Fogerty released Wrote a Song for Everyone, a collection of Creedence classics featuring an array of country and rock special guests, from Miranda Lambert to Foo Fighters. Next month, some of those same CCR songs appear in an entirely different form on Quiero Creedence, a tribute to the swampy Sixties rock band by Latin artists, including Los Lobos, Juanes and Ozomatli. ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons also appears, teaming up with La Santa Cecilia singer Marisol Hernandez on “Green River.”
Sibling trio Los Lonely Boys deliver one of the project’s most stirring numbers, a greasy, gritty take on “Born on the Bayou.”
