Chihuahua Country Safari(PNS reporting from SAN ANTONIO) Local breakfast taco deliveryman Ron Garcia is just $5,980 away from realizing his dream of starting the nation’s first wild Chihuahua sanctuary.

The sanctuary, dubbed Chihuahua Country Safari, has a Kickstarter campaign that Garcia hopes will raise the much needed $6,000 to turn his backyard into a haven for the hundreds of feral Chihuahuas that call the San Antonio area their domain.

In two short weeks, he has raised enough money to buy the aluminum trout net he will use to capture the pint-sized pooches.

While Chihuahuas are valued by some owners, Garcia blames movies like Beverly Hills Chihuahua for the city’s feral Chihuahua problem. [Mas…]
