The band played for over an hour and everything ended up copacetic — this video was uploaded by the hella cool official SBHS web person and the school district supplied this photo.
A California principal danced to his own beat Tuesday after a group of students hired a mariachi band to follow him as part of their senior prank. Santa Barbara High School Principal John Becchio opened his office door around 7:30 a.m. to a quartet of mariachis, who promptly blasted away for the next hour as the administrator went about his daily duties.
A minute-long clip shows Becchio strolling the hallways in the California school, a bemused smirk on his face, as the black-clad mariachis match his every step. Students giggle and laugh as the spectacle moves along.
Were these kewl kids inspired by the guy who hired mariachis as he marched into his insurance office job dressed as a banana to tell the boss he was quitting?
