Running POCHO is a dirty job but some juan’s gotta do it

pochoonlineRunning POCHO is a real job. It takes hours of work, dedication and writers, editors, artists and videographers.

And it takes time and money.

We’ve got the time. We need you for the money.

  • We’d like more Internet bandwidth which means we need more money for our hosting company.
  • We’d like to rebuild this website, which means we need to hire a web development company.
  • And we’d like to pay the volunteer editors, cartoonists, reporters, and photographers who contribute because they believe in the mission.

Why Goth Latinos love Morrissey and other stories (audio, video)

mozlive300
NPR’s LatinoUSA (with Maria Hinojosa) writes:

Goth culture. Is it in? Is it out? Do they even care? Hear the stories of three Latinos who found a sense of community in Goth subculture while we try to answer the question of the ages: Why are Latinos obsessed with Morrissey? It’s not just the Pompadour.

Here’s a video of Moz live at Staples Center in Los Angeles in March with the classic Smiths’ song The Boy With The Thorn in His Side. The audience knows all the words and sings along!
