Tomorrow, May 1, is May Day AKA International Workers’ Day, when the communist comrades sing this stirring appeal, with its hummable melody and a vague vision of making the future great again that’s hard to disagree with, except maybe the LUCHA FINAL aspect.

The Jewish celebration of Passover is a week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread, or “matzo” in Hebrew. Most Jews stick to matzo and avoid regular bread, wheat products, rice, corn, and beans. This may change, though, since an 800-year-old religious ban on rice and beans was just overturned.

Ingenious cooks over the centuries have found ways to make the most of matzo, by using sheets of softened matzo in place of lasagna noodles, for example, or transforming matzo crumbs into soup dumplings — so-called matzo balls. But what if you want a spicier treat, like nachos? Not to worry! This video from NBC’s TODAY SHOW has the recipe.

Michael J. and Peter D. Ronstadt — of Ronstadt Generations — perform their song El Corrido Del Rio Sonora, about the 2014 Buena Vista Mine Spill in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. The spill released copper sulphate acid that flowed down the Rio Bacanuchi to the Rio Sonora.

The river supplies water for the capital city of Hermosillo. There is still no agreement on damages nor have there been any efforts to take remedial and preventative measures for the future.

A Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, MX taqueria famous for its politically-inspired tacos has named a taco for Donald Trump.

Owner Humberto Erives-Beto explained Sunday that he was inspired by Trump’s controversial remarks.

“I just made it as most of the world considers him – with lots of tongue, very little brains and I put a bit of pig’s trompita,” said Beto, owner of Taqueria El Tio Beto. (Trompita = snout.)
